Bio production

23 September videos (review4 on vimeo, lesson5 on vimeo) - Patrick Boyle

How do you engineer a microbe to produce an interesting small molecule? What design principles can be applied to un-designed (i.e. evolved) microbes? How do we find good biological parts? How do we know if an engineered microbe is performing as expected? We will review Design, Build, and Test strategies appropriate for engineering the metabolism of bacteria and yeast.
